www.annoyances.org

A very, very helpful site. There are links to help pages for almost every problem/query you may have with your PC. If what you're looking for isn't there, then it's free and simple to post a question on the message boards (all you need to do is enter your name, email and a password and you're registered) I have had no end of good advice from the message boards and highly reccommend this site

Welcome to Annoyances.org!
Friday, May 19, 2006

Annoyances.org is the most complete collection of information assembled for and by actual users of Microsoft Windows. Explore this free web resource by selecting one of the destinations on your left, or use search to find a specific solution.

Stomp out annoyances with the topics on this site. Check out the various Annoyances books for more advanced, in-depth solutions. Use the discussion forums (links to your left) to talk annoyances and solutions with other annoyed users.

It appears you are using Windows XP. The solutions at Annoyances.org cover a wide variety of Windows versions, so you should make note of the platform(s) covered by each article you open. You can also filter out articles that don't apply to you using the controls at the bottom of certain category pages, although you may not want to miss something that might be helpful.

Thanks for visiting Annoyances.org!

Another good place I have found is here: PC World

You might have to do a little hunting but I think it is worth it.
