If you have any problems regarding housing issues, there are a few places you can turn to for expert help and advice.
Your Landlord - Don't forget that many problems can be solved by talking it through with your landlord. If for some reason this doesn't work, then the organisations below will be able to help.
Citizens Advice Bureau - You may have a bit of a wait but the CAB does provide good advice regarding lots of issues, and their advice is completely free.
http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/ Includes a location finder for your nearest CAB.
Local Authority - Your local authority should be able to advise you on many housing issues. Try to find their website and have a browse, or give them a ring.
http://www.direct.gov.uk/Dl1/Directories/LocalCouncils/fs/en To help you find your local authority's website
Shelter - A charity dedicated to housing and other issues, especially if you are, or are about to become homeless.
http://england.shelter.org.uk/home/index.cfm Lots of information here, including a Freephone helpline.
Solicitor - Depending on the circumstances of the issue, a local solicitor may be able to help.
