Aggg it just gets hotter!
Just to sleep at night we need our cold air blower running - it's great, the size of a midi music system, lightweight, and you fill it up with ice cubes and turn it on. It has a really good cut-out function, when the base either tips or lifts it stops immediately to prevent accidents. It also has a swivel setting. Takes about 16 ice cubes in the tray, or you can do what we did and find a plastic tray just smaller and use that. It takes a while longer to freeze, but saves messing around picking up ice cubes LOL as long as you refill it immediately it should be frozen by the time you need it again.
Cost us about £30 from Argos, but they don't do that model now, the nearest they have is a larger one for around £45, which is still good value just not as portable. (link) The larger ones also have a facility for using ice packs (the camping holiday type).
Size in relation to portable tv and alarm clock upstairs. As you can see it's easy to move from room to room as needed.
Anyone else got a great air cooler they'd recommend?
