I know exactly what you mean, these "co-incidences" are always happening to me.

The night before last I was drifting off to sleep thinking about putting up some shelves downstairs for my books (currently in boxes from the recent move) and I suddenly realised Andy no longer has his spirit level so thought "oh well" and went to sleep. The next day Andy's mate John came round and suggested out of the blue that he gives Andy a lift to pick up his tools (including the spirit level). I said it was a good idea as then I could price up some wood for putting up some shelves and Andy said he'd been thinking about putting some up for a few days now... I'd previously not mentioned it as we've just moved and I didn't want to be seen as nagging lol

That's just one that's happened recently, there've been others such as thinking about UM and wondering what had happened to someone as I hadn't been on there for ages, and later that day they registered with Raw Berries... Oh and the 11:11 thing is still going strong.

Funnily enough I looked into this somewhat a few months back. Here's some of what I found:

Quote:
I started seeing 11:11 on clocks, receipts, bank clocks, EVERYWHERE about 7 years ago. Here is what I've learned since then. 11:11 is a wake-up call for lightworkers. Lightworkers are people who signed up for a "green beret" type of mission when they were on the spirit plane ( before being incarnated on Earth). What the mission is, in short, is to hold as much Light as possible, as strongly as possible, on this planet. This twenty year period (starting on January 11, 1991) will see matter holding more light than it has ever held before. The vibration on this planet has dropped to a very, very low frequency. That is why it is so difficult to remember our origin, remember that we are all connected, remember who we really are. This is often referred to as the Fall. This mission is very important and very difficult. As I see people around me go through so much, I understand why some go back home. It's intense here right now.

About number 11 - 11 is double digit and is therefore considered a Master or Power Number. In Numerology - 11 represents impractical idealism, visionary, refinement of ideals, intuition, revelation, artistic and inventive genius, avant-garde, androgynous, film, fame, refinement fulfilled when working with a practical partner. Eleven is a higher octave of the number two . It carries psychic vibrations and has an equal balance of masculine and feminine properties. Because eleven contains many gifts such as psychic awareness and a keen sense of sensitivity, it also has negative effects such as treachery and betrayal from secret enemies.

Many associate 11:11 with a wake-up code/alarm as they see it on digit clocks and watches. It can also be seen as a key to unlock the subconscious mind - our genetic encoded memories ... that we are spirits having a physical experience - not physical beings embarking on a spiritual experience.

11:11 - or derivatives of these numbers - 111 and 11 - are digits that repeat in time - thus a metaphor for reality as patterns that repeat in time for us to experience. This can refer to the rise and fall of civilizations - our personal experiences and lessons - loops in time - whatever - they are cycles of time that create and recreate following the blueprint.

Ellie and 11:11 .... In 1991 - when I was hosting the talk show "The Metaphysical Experience" - a woman named Solara was my guest. Her topic was Activation of the 11:11 Doorway. It was all about ascension and the beginning of awareness of the 11:11 code. In 1995 - a Crystalinks' reader named Joe emailed about his experiences with the numbers 111:111 - hence the file you are reading was first created - and in so doing I took a long hard look at this phenomena experienced by those around me - oddly not part of my triggering. Each time Joe was about to go through another major spiritual awakening - an epiphany of some kind - those numbers would appear in his physical experience to signal the upcoming change. The numbers say, "Pay attention!"

11 represents spiraling twin strands of human DNA moving into higher frequency of consciousness.

11 represents balance.

11+11=22=4=Time. 22 is a Master Number.

Androgyny is a subject that has always fascinated me, I agree wholeheartedly with what you said. Wiccans believe that all things are dualistic ie you can't have one aspect without the other, and it's important to find a comfortable balance.
Quote:

Whenever we ignore one aspect of life and only concentrate on its opposite (light instead of dark, good instead of evil, masculine instead of feminine) we are cheating ourselves, because each idea and each reality has something to teach us.

Slightly off topic, but I felt this is important. From an early age stereotypes have annoyed me, I feel they show that human nature is so insecure that we need to label everything to try and take away the uncertainty. But that's just it - humans were never meant to be "one thing", we were meant to constantly evolve. Also, the problem with stereotyping is that a person assumes they know all about someone else because they, say, wear dark clothes, or are homosexual. I'm always being asked if I'm a Goth because I favour dark colours, but it drives me mad when it's assumed I'm a clone of those teenage Goths you see hanging around in large towns. I asked one person what their idea of a Goth was, their answer? "Black clothes, listens to metal music, worships the devil" Most people also assume that gays (no offence, it's just easier to type) are either butch or feminine. I personally know a number of gays, and they really are nothing like the common idea of what they should be.

Each person is an individual, with different personalites, feelings and ideals and stereotyping to me is a cowards way out of accepting that. Yes, some people are grouped together under a common name, but that doesn't mean they are all exactly alike. Take religion for instance; it's commonly accepted that not all Muslims are terrorists, yet how many people still associate the two in the back of their minds but not admit it in company that would "disapprove"? The same can be said for other religions, albeit terrorism would be changed for something else (or maybe not...) But you understand what I mean. Each group of common-minded people appear to be a threat to everyone else simply because of the actions of a few. This is stereotyping at it's worst.

Rant over LOL Smilie_PDT

Major apologies for my silence, you can blame our (old!) ISP for that Smilie_PDT

I, too, have had some very strange reoccurrances of common themes as you've described. When my mother remarried it transpired that every person in our new family (a total of 2 adults and 6 children) has middle names beginning with J. I was born on the 28th August, my father is 28th February, and two of my best friends at school were 28th of March and April. Another strange thing is that most of the people I am friends with have a family relative in the teaching profession (including myself). My two children were born within 2 hours of being exactly 18 months apart - Anthony 8th April and Ashleigh 7th October. My husband's daughter, Beth, was born on 7th November. My ex-husband's Aunt lived on the same street as my Aunt and were firm friends. I didn't find this out until we were married and both women met up on the day.

Going back to my mother's remarriage - I actually went to school with a lad who became my step brother. Gary and I were good friends and worked together on class projects. Imagine my surprise when we met up with a view of being brother and sister! The last I saw of him was two years previously when he left school to live with his Aunt after his mother's death.

Another strange thing I've noticed is throughout my life if I've wanted something it nearly always happens. I've added a few here, but there are more, mostly really insignificant (such as always wanting my hair to be curly - after 20 years of being dead straight all of a sudden it now has a natural curl). When I was small I lived in a bungalow with my younger brother. I'd always wanted to live in a house with stairs, and have a sister. When my mother married my stepfather both of these scenarios happened at the same time. Also when I was small I always wanted to live in Yorkshire (After reading The Secret Garden & The Railway Children), and lo and behold, here I am. Around 20 years late, but it's happened... Recently, I've yearned for a shower but none of the houses we've lived in has had one (and would have had to have the bathroom retiled to achieve this). The current house has a shower, but no bath, which is a bit annoying. All I can say is be careful what you wish for LOL

I've been meaning to make this reply for ages, I keep starting it then deleting it as it sounds rubbish lol

Everyone who knows me is aware of my musical tastes, imagine my surprise yesterday when somebody I was speaking to online turned out to have been a roadie for James...

Other recent co-incidences lately:
Hubby and I were watching a program the other night and the song Imagine (John Lennon) was featured. We walked into our local indian takeaway the next evening to find it playing on the sound system.

We also watched a program on the Da Vinci Code, searching for answers behind the sacred feminine as discussed in the book. Later that evening I grabbed a book I hadn't read yet (a history of Ramsey Abbey, my old secondary senior) and found out that the Abbey church was originally dedicated to "the holy virgin". There was another bit about King Canute and a church for females, but I can't remember exactly what it said, I'll edit it in later. (it's 4am and the book's upstairs, don't want to disturb hubby)

I've also noticed that evolution is playing a big part in a lot of the programmes we've been watching recently. Right across the board from Star Trek to comedy current affairs programmes (Mock The Week). Not just any evolution, but specific to humans naturally evolving into different forms. Apparantly there's a theory that humans will eventually evolve into two races - one being tall and thin the other short and squat. I've not yet researched this, hence apparantly (It was a featured news story on Mock The Week)

Funny you should mention Dean Koontz, he's one of my favourite authors. It's just reminded me of something. The name James has been with me throughout my life. It's my younger brother's middle name, and I've been attracted to authors with that name also. James Herbert, PD James and Peter James to name three. My first boyfriend was also called James.

I've had cats with "S" names also, Sooty & Sweep (bro & sis) then there was Smokey (Bandit's sister) we also had a dog called Sadie, she was bought when I was a baby as a pup to grow up with me. Actually thinking about it our cats have had "D" names also - Dinky, Dmitri & Davith.

I know a little of Chinese Astrology, enough to know that I'm a Dragon. My ex husband was a Snake (figures LOL first part of second paragraph is him to a tee...) and Andy is a Tiger.

Andy has a relative nicknamed Piggy! Well, it's his ex partner's brother, but they stayed friends after the split.

I can't remember if I've said before, but my best friend Eleri's birthday is 11th September (she was gutted when 9/11 happened, it's now something that birthdays remind her of) Her birthday is 2 weeks exactly after mine, and that makes her two weeks less than two years older than me (does that make sense? 1 year and 50 months) The other two friends I had in school both had birthdays on the 28th of the month, Tracey in March, Jo in April (mine's August) my dad also has a "28" birthday - February. My mum's is 27th Sept, which is very close.

My Grandpa's birthday was 8th August, the UK solar eclipse actually happened on his 80th birthday in 1999. We had a small family dinner the weekend before his birthday and he made a speech saying he'd had a word with the powers that be to provide the eclipse for us to remember him by - he had a great sense of humour. Sadly he died soon afterwards (Jan 2000) due to skin cancer, he'd been a Japanese POW and had suffered poor health since he returned. I'm not sure how relevant this is, but I was in the UM chat room last night and the subjects of Japan and WW2 came up separately, of course this made me think of grandpa. It's only recently that mum's given me a copy of his war diary (literally just after they'd moved up here) and I hadn't thought of Grandpa in ages. Just recently though there have been a lot of "reminders" (not quite the right word, but you know what I mean).

The night he died I'm convinced that he visited me. I'd sat on the stairs for a last cig just before I went to bed and I knew all the lights were off. The phone rang at 2am, my parents letting me know Grandpa had died. I went to the bathroom and noticed lights on downstairs, I turned them off and went back to bed. I asked my then hubby if he'd been downstairs and he said no. On the day of the funeral mum saw Grandpa in the church, she described what he was wearing to her sister and it was the clothes he'd died in. Mum didn't get to the hospital living 100 miles away, so she didn't actually see grandpa. It was this incident that made me realise that mum believes in the paranormal, something she'd never discussed before. I had a talk with my Aunt at the wake and learned so much I'd never thought to ask about before.

Something that I've noticed recently is San Diego is appearing a lot. I've seen it mentioned a few times on tv programs and in newspaper articles. Last night we watched Most Haunted and they were at the Whaley House in SD.

That program was so funny - not the actual program, what happened alongside it. At one point Yvette asked any spirits present to knock for them, just then our neighbours decided to start banging and we could hear it through the wall (they do this all the time) we jokingly said "well she won't get a response, it's here" and surprise surprise they didn't LOL we were laughing all the way through it as little things like that kept happening. I also made Andy jump - one of the investigators asked for the spirit to touch him again so I laid my hand on his leg with hysterical results
