The PathThe whole secret of existence is to have no fear.
Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one.
Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.
Even death is not to be feared by one who has lived
wisely. The way is not in the sky. The way is in the
heart. When you realize how perfect everything is you
will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky.
All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The
mind is everything. What we think we become.
Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot
today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't
learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we
got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be
thankful.
Do not believe in anything simply because
you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply
because it is spoken and rumoured by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written
in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything
merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions because they have been
handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything
agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and
benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or
who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it
agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single
candle, and the life of the candle will not be
shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared.
Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.
No one saves us but ourselves.
No one can and no one may.
We ourselves must walk the path.
You cannot travel the path until you have become the path itself.
