Text Formatting IssuesHi, Bebi,I found a problem while proofreading my play in the "Look What I Can Do!" forum. The preview pane appears normal, but, once text is uploaded, lines meant to be separated are mingling. Any idea what may have happened? Let me know if you're not sure and I'll see what I can do to amend the errors. Thanks, Brian |

Hi Brian, the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is sometimes the preview pane automatically breaks the line and when it's changed into a post the break isn't there because the preview pane is a lot wider than the actual post due to the column down the left for the avatar etc. When it does this it looks like you've got a line break when you haven't. I get this all the time with the text entry box, you just need to edit and find the rogue lines then hit enter between them. I don't think there's a fix for it exactly, it's just bad luck I think

Thanks, Bebi. I checked again and the issue resolved itself. One thing I've found essential to posting properly when I copy from Notepad is deactivating the word wrap function. Otherwise, I'm left with undesirable page breaks. I thought that might help others wishing to post short stories or screenplays. |
