DreamsMe and hubby had a bit of a weird experience today. Last night I dreamed we were out somewhere and we'd lost Margaret. We were calling Margaret and Cuddles came along, looking really well. The rest of the dream was Cuddles being fussed and generally looking very happy.
This morning I was telling Andy about it and he had a look of surprise on his face, then said he'd had a similar dream. In his we were at home and he was stood at the door calling Margaret in for the night when Cuddles turned up.
Cuddles went missing at the end of February. We've been hoping that he'll come back, but over the last couple of weeks we've been preparing ourselves for him not returning as it's been so long and he's getting on in years.
I don't want to get my hopes up that he's going to come back, so I'm taking it as meaning he's passed over and is happy wherever he is now. Don't get me wrong, I'd love him to come back, we miss him so much, but for now I'd prefer not to hope unecessarily if you know what I mean.

It's highly possible that you and Andy met together in a dream, or more specifically on the astral plane. The fact that you and he left the experience with differing perceptions of the environment is not too surprising.
Imagine that you and Andy are standing at the bar between your kitchen and living room. If Andy saw the living room and you saw the kitchen, you'd both be right, but you'd also be occupying the same general space. Geography and visual perception don't operate by the same rules in the astral as in the physical.
The out-of-state friend of whom I spoke on UM regularly could enter others' dreams at will, including mine, so what you described does not seem strange or weird to me at all. It's actually quite possible that you met with Cuddles. I'm sorry to hear that he went missing, but he may still be alive, reaching out to you via a dream.
Since this is a dream thread, I'll add a bit of my own material from last night.
I had one of the most bizarre flying dreams of all time. In it, I was flying over a rural area with a wrist watch-sized device attached to my left arm. The device consisted of a black, Velcro band and a propeller measuring approximately 1 1/2 inches.
Several minutes into the dream, a law enforcement helicopter approached me in mid flight, insisting politely that I land. I was essentially being treated as a UFO. Upon landing, the officer dismantled the propeller device to determine whether or not it was motorized. Had it been, I'd have been guilty of operating a vehicle without a license.
I was informed that the propeller was merely wind-driven, so I was released from custody. In the end, I decided that I had no use for the device and returned to flight.
My sole reason for sharing the next fairly brief portion of my dream is to retrieve a "Hey, that was me!" response. I don't put anything past synchronicity.
Following my police detention, I entered a large ballroom and found myself to be the only person not grounded. I shouted down to the crowd, asking if anyone cared to fly. Others were dressed in formal attire, and while I didn't see my own appearance, I like to think that I was wearing one of my uncoordinated leisure suits as I did frequently in the mid 90s for levity. Anyway, a woman grabbed my hand, accepting the offer. We became acquainted somewhat and had a pleasant dance. That's all, folks.

A very odd dream I had last night.
I was trying to get away from some people, they were in a light blue estate car. I was with someone else, don’t know who it was, don’t know if they were male or female, or what age they were, all I know is it was one person. We had to travel quite a way over countryside so they didn’t see us on the roads. We ended up at this farm house in the middle of nowhere, everything seemed normal (ish) at first, the owners were pleasant and welcomed us. I remember there were staircases going in strange directions. When we came to leave things turned strange, the farm owners started chasing us to try and stop us leaving. We came across fields of people dying, and attached to machines, they were all female and very very old, they were literally decomposing while alive, I could sense the smell in the dream. We picked our way between them and they reached for our legs trying to grab us.
I woke up this morning with a song in my head, Genesis, just the line “Jesus he knows me and he knows I’m right” going round and round on a loop.
