CFTC website to run alongside Forum

During a chat with Kyala we came up with the idea of a website that would compliment the forum. On here we could host things like a decent chat room (embedded rather than a link) and many other things we've not even thought of yet. The page could be password protected, with the password being changed weekly via a post on the forum to prevent anyone joining in the chat and causing trouble.

Edit: Disregard the comments below, I've found a good one - proPHP.org - they also offer password protection as standard.
If anyone knows of any decent free password protection that I could use please send me a PM. I'm going to have to look into this as it's not something I've considered before...

I'll be scouting about and searching for a decent free website with no popups that I can customise, so it may take a little time. Again, recommendations via PM please.

With expert tutorage from my wonderful husband I'm now in the process of creating the website. I've not got as far as uploading it yet, but the Homepage is coming along nicely.

Here's a screenshot so you can have a sneaky peek

What do we think about offering members a page on the site? I'd obviously create the page to order and upload it for you, so content will be moderated.

It's now gone live (sort of LOL)

Here's the current index page - http://bebicftc.prophp.org/

As you can see I need to upload the graphics etc, I'll work this out I'm sure, but if anyone knows anything then feel free to send suggestions!

As you can probably see I've now sorted the graphics problem, and uploaded the Affiliates page (a posh name for links to sites I'm a member of lol click on the "you the man" picture) I'm in the process of creating the Coffee Break page, I've got a chat room embedded anyway. I'm just now trying to figure out the password side of it before I load it up. I'll get it sorted anyways, the main thing is now I've finally got some sort of grasp of what I'm doing Smilie_PDT

Even those who argue that morality should play a large role in statecraft acknowledge that international politics is not like domestic politics. In the latter, there is government; in the former, there is none. As a consequence, no agency exists above the individual states with authority and power to make laws and settle disputes. States can make commitments and treaties, wow power leveling, but no sovereign power ensures compliance and punishes deviations. This the absence of a supreme power-is what is meant by the anarchic environment of international polities. Anarchy is therefore said to constitute a state of war: when all else fails, force is the ultima ratio--the final and legitimate arbiter of disputes among states.
The state of war does not mean that every nation is constantly at the brink of war or actually at war with other nations. wow gold, though, do feel threatened by some states at some time, and every state has experienced periods of intense insecurity. No two contiguous states, moreover, have had a history of close, friendly relations uninterrupted by severe tension if not outright war. Because a nation cannot look to a supreme body to enforce laws, nor count on other nations for constant aid and support, it must rely on its own efforts, particularly for defense against attack. Coexistence in an anarchic environment thus requires self-help. The psychological outlook that self-help breeds is best described by a saying common among British statesmen since Palmerston: "Great Britain has no permanent enemies or permanent friends, she has only permanent interests."
Although states must provide the wherewithal to achieve their own ends, they do not always reach their foreign policy goals. wow gold, the means available, meager. The goals may be attainable; the means selected, inappropriate. But even if the goals are realistic and the means both available and appropriate, a state can be frustrated in pursuit of its ends. The reason is simple, but fundamental to an understanding of international polities: wow gold, what one state does will inevitably impinge on some other states--on some beneficially, but on others adversely. What one state desires another may covet. What one thinks its just due another may find threatening. Steps that a state takes to achieve its goals may be rendered useless by the counter steps others take. No state, therefore, can afford to disregard the effects its actions will have on other nations' behavior. In this sense state behavior is contingent: wow gold, what one state does is dependent in part upon what others do. Mutual dependence means that each must take the others into account.
Mutual dependence affects nothing more powerfully than it does security-the measures states take to protect their territory.wow gold, Like other foreign-policy goals, the security of one state is contingent upon the behavior of other states. Herein lies the security dilemma to which each state is subject: In its efforts to preserve or enhance its own security,WOW power leveling, one state can take measures that wow golddecrease the security of other states and cause them to take countermeasures that neutralize the actions of the first state and that may even menace it. The first state may feel impelled wotlk goldto take additional actions that will provoke additional countermeasures.., and so forth., The security dilemma means that an action-reaction spiral can occur between two states or among several of them so that each is forced towow gold spend ever larger sums on arms and be no more secure than before. All will run faster merely to stay where they were.

With the development of the time and the society, china’s higher education system is becoming more and more flawless, and China has benefited much from this. But, we can’t deny, there are also many problems still exist in china’s higher education.
In china, the higher education over focus on the knowledge itself, but ignore to cultivate students’ abilities, qualities, and even more important, the sense of responsibility to the society. Maybe this is because Chinese people reverence knowledge, love knowledge more than other things. This is not bad, but it must be under the precondition of not ignoring other things. We must admit, in the past ten years, with the development of china’s higher education system, this phenomenon has changed a lot, but this is still a very common problem in today’s higher education.
In my mind, the aim of university education should not confine its views in knowledge teaching, but it should help the students to increase their abilities, qualities, and the sense of responsibility to the society. That’s to say, it is training the good members of society.
wow power leveling
In the article “The Aim of a University Education” the famous English educationist John Henry Newman expresses his opinion about the higher education: “it aims at raising the intellectual tone of society, at cultivating the public mind, at purifying the national taste ……and refining the intercourse of private life.” “It prepare him to fill any post with credit, and to master any subject with facility.” Here, John Henry Newman raises the abilities, qualities, and the sense of responsibility to the society to more important position.
In the reality, after graduation the students will become the average members of the society. At that time, the importance of their abilities, qualities, and the sense of responsibility to the society will be all shown. No matter how much knowledge one owns, if he can’t adapt the society, and contribute to the society, he will be washed out by the society. It is a waste of education recourses.
world of warcraft power leveling
In our life, we can see a lot of examples. Every year, we can hear news that many university students or the persons who have higher academic qualification kill themselves. They have accepted the high education and have a lot of knowledge, but their qualities and the sense of responsibility to the society may not reach the level which they should have. At the same time, many university campuses in China are so dirty that makes people feel they are not in the campus but in the street outside, and we can see many students throw rubbish to everywhere they want. This may indicate there is something wrong with students’ qualities.
aoc power leveling
There must be a lot of other problems exist in china’s higher education, for example, the high tuition fee, the improper system,   the ruleless manage, and so on. But because china’s higher education is in the process of change from “elite education” to “popular education”, the cultivation of students’ abilities, qualities, and even more important, the sense of responsibility to the society is becoming more and more important. This will affect china’s future society in a large extent. So we must do our best, and overcome all the difficulties to solve this problem firstly.
