BABY ON THE WAY!!

Hello my lovelies Smilie_PDT
I hearby announce that I am to be induced tomorrow (Sunday) at 8am !!
Am getting very nervous now, seeing as there's a definite date for baby's arrival, didn't exactly have this much warning with Monkey! Smilie_PDT
This is all dependent on whether the labour ward is busy or not (they've got 5 inductions today so they might still be quite busy tomorrow, in which case I'll be in on Monday instead!)

Anywho, just thought I'd let y'all know and give you a chance to wish me good luck Smilie_PDT
Byeeeee

Kyala,

Are you expecting a bundle of joy, or boy? Smilie_PDT
Kyala

And then there was 4!!

Sorry I haven't had a chance to get online and post before now, but there you go, that's new babies for you!

All went well on Sunday (well, I say "well" it was a bit traumatic for me and am now having a LOT of trouble getting to sleep because of it but ho-hum)
Water's were broken at 13:30, had lunch, went for a walk round the hospital (gosh it's a boring place on a sunday!) contractions started and went well, got stronger early eve, by gone 7pm I was on the Gas and Air, J said to me (in the middle of X factor) "I dare you to have the baby by 8pm!"
I tried my best, Lucy May (or Squid) was born at 20:04 !! In the birthing pool (well, sort of, she had to be pulled out, once her head was out the contractions stopped! Smilie_PDT )
A bit of blood loss but all good.
Got no sleep the first night (due to everyone's babies screaming on the Post natal ward, not the best plae to spend your first night after having a baby!)
Was demanding to go home by morning Smilie_PDT
Home by 16:00 Monday (was meant to be going home after minimum 24 hours but I didn't see the point in staying as they were so busy and we live less than a whole minute from the hospital!)

Home now, trying to get into a routine, what they forget to mention is that all newborn's are nocturnal and you will not get sleep for at least 2 weeks Smilie_PDT (Not that it's a problem for someone who doesn't even want to fall asleep as I'll only have freaking nightmare's!!)

Oh well, so now really glad that she's out, my hips are crying in joy, but my feet are the size of elephants (not elephant's feet, actual elephants!) but I'm besotted with my new little angel and taking things slowly with Monkey, she'll get used to her new baby sister soon and will realise that she's here to stay (poor thing worries when she goes to bed that she's not going to be there in the morning!)

Right, this is turning epic so I'll stop here Smilie_PDT

Lucy May (or Squid)

Good choice! Labor is good grief. Are you a Charles Schultz fan, too?

Squid? Were you thinking of Kyala Marie as her name initially?
Kyala

blarg!!

Thanks hun Smilie_PDT muchly appreciated! All the congrats I'm getting, wont get bored of it ever!
Managed to get some sleep last night, hoping it goes the same tonight, finger's crossed!!

Frank, Squid is her nickname due to the sheer amount of moving she did in the womb! It felt like there were tentacles going round in there LOL

Labour is grief and I'm definately not planning to go through it again!
Humblebee

CONGRATS !

Kyala

I'm having trouble keeping up with you, Kyala. hehe!

First it was Squid (Kyala Marie - Calamari), but now you've got me thinking Spider Monkey. *Fails to locate arachnid / simian smilie*
Kyala

Ooh Franky. . .

Hey there Franky, not entirely sure I'm keeping up with you either love! Smilie_PDT
Don't know where you got Kyala Marie from? (Wasn't on my list of choices, pretty though!)
Ar Smilie_PDT We have to have pet names for our children, don't we?! My first little girl is Monkey and Lucy is Squid, hope that clears it up for you?! Smilie_PDT

Anywho. . . . on with the show!

Hi, Kyala,

You can call me Brian if you like... here, or in the public forums. Those are adjectives in the alias only. Smilie_PDT

When you said, "squid" initially, calamari popped into my head, and your first name of Kyala with Marie as the middle name sounded quite similar. The Brian brain works unlike most other imaginary brains.

Oh, don't worry, Kyala. It was all very clear, but I love to play in the mud: many, many perceivable, proverbial pigs in my family.

Pet names are wonderful, and inspired at that, just like nicknames. Smilie_PDT Michele Zamora, who I've spoken of at length here and on UM about her twins, calls her sons "The Monkeys". Michele and I have a pattern within our experience in the past that ties in with Hindu lore, and it just so happens that Hanuman is considered the simian symbol of strength.

If you care to learn about Brahma and Gayatri, I can tell you how well that ties into Michele's and my perceived lives.
Kyala

calamari. . .

O I C!!! No, I do get it now, yes, reading it for the second time it becomes clearer, (blame the baby bwain!), it is amusing though!

My brain hurts from having to re-read things now. . . .gone to have more banana loaf! Smilie_PDT

Very good points Mark, I concentrated on the non-physical side of evolution in my posts as I don't really have a firm scientific background. Taking your post into mind, it makes me wonder why cloning is such a popular scientific pastime. It seems that nowadays cloning is the "holy grail" of scientists; so much money is spent funding these experiments and a big fuss is made when they're successful. Take Dolly the sheep for example, I'm sure everyone's aware of her "birth", yet how many of us remember that she lived a relatively short life
