Alanis Morrisette first gained notoriety as a teeny bopping singer in Canada. When she surfaced several years later, she become the poster child for female empowerment rock, circa 1995. Alisha's Attic souds falls in between. This "best of" set features bonus remixes by Junior Vasquez and Cornershop's Talvin Singh.

The daughters of The Tremeloes' Brian Poole, Karen & Shellie, sent a demo to producer Dave Stewart who reveled in their influences from the classic pop style of Carole King to the experimental adventuring of Kate Bush. They enjoyed chart success in the mid 90's with a succession of 3 hit albums in the UK. This special budget colleciton includes their nine UK hit singles plus 2 live tracks from London's Kashmir Klub as well as remixes by the Boiler House Boys, Talvin Singh and Junior Vasquez.
