This may seem a bit of a silly topic, but it does happen to be true! As I've probably said before, Neopets was originally designed for adults. It was the huge appeal to kids also that made them adapt it in a more youngster friendly format. This doesn't stop you from getting drawn into the site even if you think you're "too old" for it as there's so much to involve you.
I'm improving my memory, learning the concepts of shopkeeping and the stock market, learning how to focus on goals, and even teaching myself how to do things with Microsoft Office I'd never thought I'd manage.
The main two things I'm most impressed about are learning HTML and creating plotted graphs on Excel (the Altador Plot). HTML has always been a mystery to me. The BBCode on this forum has been relatively easy to grasp, but I've never got my head around HTML before now. I'm still a beginner (my top recent achievement being creating a workable link LOL) but I'm grasping more as time goes by and I decide my Gallery or Shop needs something more. The Starmap for Altador had me completely mystified at first so I thought sod it and leapt into creating a starmap using the instructions on the link I posted on that thread. The first time I did it I was really surprised at how it turned out, and I made another just to make sure LOL I then created one for a friend who didn't have Excel (she emailed me her co-ordinates) and realised I actually knew how to do this, I was quite chuffed with myself lol.
Anyways that's enough rambling for now
