I've noticed my sense of smell has been unusually (what's the word....) active lately.
For as long as I can remember it's been something I've noticed is quite sensitive, I can often smell things before others pick up on it. Also, smells can send me into memory overdrive, I'll smell something in particular and it'll send me back to a memory vividly.
Today me and Andy went for a walk to mum's house. We were crossing the football field and talking about how the wet grass smelt nice on the way there. On the way back Andy was talking about a seaside holiday he'd had and for some reason I could smell salt air mingled with the grass, it was so real just like I was stood on the sea front. Then we were discussing horses and I could suddenly smell horse manure. The second incident was probably from a garden, but the salt smell baffles me, we're nowhere near the sea.
